I’m using this light to darken a new section of laminate hardwood floor that was replaced after a flood.I suspend the light approx. 1 inch above the new wood. It takes approx. 3 or 4 days to darken a section of wood to match the old floor boards that aged normally over 16 years.The light is small, so I’m slowly covering the new boards. If you’re doing a large project, you may need several lights (I bought a second one). But the effect of this light is sufficient to do the job (the light penetrates the finish and gently brings out the color in the wood).I’ve only been running it for a 10 days and so far it’s working perfectly. I can’t comment about the durability of these lights, but they seem solid to me.Compared to other UV lighting systems, I found this to be good value for money.
