ARM & HAMMER Multi-Cat Clumping Litter Unscented, 20 lb

As a long-time rescuer of cats & kittens, I think I’ve used almost every kind of litter. My asthma says NO to any scented products, & cats agree. We’re finally down to just 5-1/2 cats inside (5 cats a feral kitten who snuck in & won’t leave). We have 3 BIG litter boxes in an unused corner room, & it’s working beautifully. This litter really does form hard clumps & is easy to scoop. I keep a large bag of baking soda at hand, & sprinkle it on the litter after scooping, and encourage it to mingle. Then I add just a little clean litter (doesn’t take much) to bring the level back to where it was. I’m disabled & move slowly, yet it takes me 30 minutes or less to clean all 3 of these giant boxes, anoint them with a bit of baking soda, and top them off with clean litter. (With other litters, it took SO LONG & was such a ghastly job.) During the day, I peek into the room to see if anything needs tidying up — because there’s no horrible smell to alert me! Believe me, with other litters, no matter how hard I tried to keep up with it, the “Take a whiff – we have cats!” announcement was often in the wind and your nostrils before you entered the front door. Even if you’re used to scented litter, please try this unscented litter. Your cat will appreciate it. When you keep the box scooped, it smells like exactly . . . nothing at all. So you can select whatever Febreze or plug-in thingy you want for your whole house, without clashing with the artificial scent of litter. I usually order this in 20-lb boxes, 2 or 3 at a time. If you live in a normal situation, with just 1-3 cats, you won’t need nearly as much. It’s also available in a smaller size. Try just one box and see what you – and your cats – think.
