Clerodendrum incisum – Musical Notes (4″ pot)
$ 9.00
Description Clerodendrum incisum or Musical Notes is a perennial; they are a flowering shrub rather than a vine that blooms throughout most of the warm season in tropical climates. They bloom pretty, showy, white cluster flowers. The bud stage of these pretty flowers are what causes them to be the most unique and attractive. They’re flat, round buds that bloom from green stems that arch from a cluster on long stems which resemble musical notes. This Clerondendrum is a night bloomer native to Africa that is deciduous, which means they drop their leaves in fall and they gain them back slowly. We recommend not pruning them during blooming season to ensure you get to experience the beautiful buds, pruning them will encourage bushy growth as well. They do best in well-drained soil and in full sun, or partial shade. Average water is best with less watering during the winter. This plant can be grown in the ground but since this Clerodendrum incisum does not do well in frosts and freeze we suggest if you are in any zones other than 9 – 11, to grow it in pots. This way, you can move it indoors to avoid losing this plant when the fall season approaches.
