Hoya ‘Valentina’ GN-05 (pubicalyx red button x unknown) (3.5″ pot)

Hoya ‘Valentina’ is a natural hybrid that occurred at Gardino Nursery. The parents are Hoya pubicalyx ‘Red Button’ and Hoya carnosa. The leaves are carnosa-like. I was so surprised when it bloomed with fuzzy white flowers because red button has pinkish-purple flowers. I noted that the corona is light yellow and intensifies with age. The blooms smell like chocolate. I had a hard time cutting it to prop because it kept blooming all over. Paula decided to name this Hoya after her beloved community cat that got sick in 2023 and had to cross the rainbow bridge. Ships in 3.5″ pot. Photo #2 ONLY, shows an example on size plant for sale.
