I was going to use this as a gasket between combustion exhaust fan and the side of my furnace. I cut it to size and made a triple-thick layer, pushed it onto the screws that were sticking out of the furnace side, and then mounted the new exhaust fan and put the nuts on. It worked just fine.It is not a “giving” or “forgiving” material. It can tear absolutely too easily. But for me it worked as needed and thus perfect for the job.
